Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Nikos Kessanlis could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Living With Art auction, the work Fiori changed hands for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,910.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nikos Kessanlis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trees in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 90,000.00 (€ 132,441.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nikos Kessanlis konnte im Juli 2016 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Living With Art wechselte die Arbeit Fiori für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.910,10) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nikos Kessanlis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Trees im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.000,00 (€ 132.441,09).
