Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in London held the auction Modern Art Online including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso, which included the work Portrait présumé de la Princesse de Cystria by Odilon Redon. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,822.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Odilon Redon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Pavot Noir in October last year with an auction result of USD 3,780,000.00 (€ 3,805,113.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern Art Online including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait présumé de la Princesse de Cystria von Odilon Redon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.822,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Odilon Redon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Pavot Noir im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.780.000,00 (€ 3.805.113,75).
