Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La vague by Óscar Domínguez was sold in the The Art of the Surreal Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in February 2018. The price achieved of GBP 248,750.00 (€ 280,997.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Óscar Domínguez have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Toro Y Torero (Composition Au Taureau) in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,805,000.00 (€ 2,488,826.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La vague von Óscar Domínguez wurde im Februar 2018 in der Auktion The Art of the Surreal Evening Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 248.750,00 (€ 280.997,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Óscar Domínguez auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Toro Y Torero (Composition Au Taureau) im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.805.000,00 (€ 2.488.826,92).
