Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Oscar Rabin could be acquired at Bonhams in Paris in January 2024 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Rebel Spirits, Part IIINon-conformist art from important collections auction, the work Trois lampes/ Three lamps changed hands for EUR 6,144.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oscar Rabin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Russian City With Moon (Socialist City), 1959 in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 337,000.00 (€ 216,469.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Oscar Rabin konnte im Januar 2024 bei Bonhams in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Rebel Spirits, Part IIINon-conformist art from important collections wechselte die Arbeit Trois lampes/ Three lamps für EUR 6.144,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oscar Rabin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Russian City With Moon (Socialist City), 1959 im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 337.000,00 (€ 216.469,68).
