Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bonhams held the auction Rebel Spirits, Part IINon-conformist art from Important European Collections, which included the work Vodka by Oscar Rabin. It changed hands for a price of EUR 19,125.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oscar Rabin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Russian City With Moon (Socialist City), 1959 in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 337,000.00 (€ 216,469.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Rebel Spirits, Part IINon-conformist art from Important European Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vodka von Oscar Rabin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 19.125,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oscar Rabin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Russian City With Moon (Socialist City), 1959 im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 337.000,00 (€ 216.469,68).
