In November last year Bonhams in London held the auction ExpressionismGermany, Austria and Beyond, which included the work Bildnis von Dr Walter Strebi-Erni by Oskar Kokoschka. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,650.00 (€ 8,864.60), 53% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oskar Kokoschka achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Joseph De Montesquiou-Fezensac in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 20,395,200.00 (€ 18,012,187.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 53 % übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion ExpressionismGermany, Austria and Beyond durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bildnis von Dr Walter Strebi-Erni von Oskar Kokoschka zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.650,00 (€ 8.864,60) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oskar Kokoschka erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Joseph De Montesquiou-Fezensac im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.395.200,00 (€ 18.012.187,58).
