Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Practicing Qi Iii by Pan Hsin-Hua was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,745.72). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pan Hsin-Hua - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Heaven And Earth, which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 19,122.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Practicing Qi Iii von Pan Hsin-Hua im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.745,72) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Pan Hsin-Hua mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Heaven And Earth beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 19.122,88) versteigert wurde.
