The work Waterfalls by Pang Jiun was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 2,000,000.00 (€ 211,415.45), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pang Jiun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Monet’S Garden, which sold at auction in July 2020 for HKD 7,375,000.00 (€ 808,030.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Waterfalls von Pang Jiun kam im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 2.000.000,00 (€ 211.415,45) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Für andere Arbeiten von Pang Jiun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Monet’S Garden beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für HKD 7.375.000,00 (€ 808.030,41) versteigert wurde.
