Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two women with tree by Park Sookeun was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2006. The price achieved of USD 960.00 (€ 756.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Park Sookeun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tree and three figures, 1962 in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,986,500.00 (€ 1,545,192.91).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 960,00 (€ 756,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Park Sookeun erzielen.
