The work Figures in a landscape, 1964 by Park Sookeun was sold in the Japanese & Korean Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2008. The »bidding war« ended at USD 806,500.00 (€ 572,757.62), 61% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Park Sookeun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tree and three figures, 1962, which sold at auction in September 2012 for USD 1,986,500.00 (€ 1,545,192.91).

Die Arbeit Figures in a landscape, 1964 von Park Sookeun wurde im September 2008 in der Auktion Japanese & Korean Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 806.500,00 (€ 572.757,62) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Park Sookeun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tree and three figures, 1962 beobachtet, die im September 2012 für USD 1.986.500,00 (€ 1.545.192,91) versteigert wurde.
