This artwork by Park Sookeun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2007. In the Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Market sold for USD 2,400.00 (€ 1,794.53) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Park Sookeun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tree and three figures, 1962 in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,986,500.00 (€ 1,545,192.91).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Park Sookeun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tree and three figures, 1962 im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.986.500,00 (€ 1.545.192,91).
