Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A collection of three screenprints in colours comprising Yellow Chair (illustrated), Red Chair and Blue Chair, all signed in pencil, numbered 9/100, 16/100 and 13/100 respectively, framed by Per Arnoldi was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for G Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Per Arnoldi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 13,500.00 (€ 11,798.64).
