Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,024.00 (€ 2,580.65). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Howell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A set of four polo scenes at a polo match at Cowdray Park: Going for the Ball, Taking a Backhander, Where is it gone? and Half-Time, which sold at auction in December 2005 for USD 7,800.00 (€ 6,586.73).
