Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of GBP 696.00 (€ 1,016.74), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philip Rideout - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Going to the meet; Returning from the meet, which sold at auction in February 2002 for USD 2,350.00 (€ 2,714.25).
