Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mallard at Ochterlony by Philip Rickman was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in September 2020. The price achieved of GBP 573.75 (€ 632.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Philip Rickman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape studies: A covey of grouse above moorland, Eskhill; A capercaillie in flight among pines, Montreithment Moor; Blackgame in a landscape, between Forfar and Blhy; Pheasant in clearing in December 2017 with an auction result of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,813.38).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 573,75 (€ 632,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden.
