In November 2021 Il Ponte held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work O.R. (Orizzontale) by Piero Dorazio. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 130,000.00 44% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Piero Dorazio have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Troppo segreto, 1961 in June last year with an auction result of EUR 819,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit O.R. (Orizzontale) von Piero Dorazio zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 130.000,00 und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Piero Dorazio auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Troppo segreto, 1961 im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 819.000,00.
