Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Canotage à Bougival by Pierre-Auguste Renoir was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2017. The price achieved of GBP 4,197,000.00 (€ 4,912,047.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,700,000.00 – 4,700,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pierre-Auguste Renoir have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Berthe Morisot et sa fille, Julie Manet in May last year with an auction result of USD 24,435,000.00 (€ 22,770,478.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Canotage à Bougival von Pierre-Auguste Renoir kam im Februar 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.197.000,00 (€ 4.912.047,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.700.000,00 – 4.700.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre-Auguste Renoir auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Berthe Morisot et sa fille, Julie Manet im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 24.435.000,00 (€ 22.770.478,05).
