A top price for Qian Ding
In May 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Shadow of Pagoda in Autumn Woods by Qian Ding. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 237,500.00 (€ 24,673.58), 58% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Shadow of Pagoda in Autumn Woods the most expensive artwork by Qian Ding that we have observed at auctions so far.
