Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Lost Bead by Rudolph Carl Gorman was sold in the Modern Native American Art and JewelryFeaturing the Historic Pictorial Beadwork Collection of Joel and Kate Kopp auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,536.00 (€ 1,417.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Rudolph Carl Gorman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work #1 in April this year with an auction result of USD 9,562.50 (€ 8,661.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Lost Bead von Rudolph Carl Gorman wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern Native American Art and JewelryFeaturing the Historic Pictorial Beadwork Collection of Joel and Kate Kopp bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.536,00 (€ 1.417,10) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rudolph Carl Gorman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit #1 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.562,50 (€ 8.661,68).
