Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled 1984 by Richard Allen was sold in the Modern | British & Irish Art auction at Christies in London in April 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,780.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Richard Allen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Warm Pink And Yellow in March 2014 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,668.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled 1984 von Richard Allen wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Modern | British & Irish Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.780,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Allen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Warm Pink And Yellow im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.668,20).
