Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for 're Nude' by Richard Hamilton was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,504.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Hamilton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Epiphany in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 557,000.00 (€ 768,020.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study for 're Nude' von Richard Hamilton wurde im Juni 2016 in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 16.504,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Hamilton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Epiphany im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 557.000,00 (€ 768.020,27).
