Auction result well in line with expectations
The work New York City by Riyas Komu was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2008. The price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 3,321.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Riyas Komu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Designated March of a Petro - Angel (or Desert March) in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 146,500.00 (€ 104,040.91).

Die Arbeit New York City von Riyas Komu kam im März 2008 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 3.321,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Riyas Komu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Designated March of a Petro - Angel (or Desert March) im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 146.500,00 (€ 104.040,91).
