This artwork by Robert Natkin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in June 2021. In the Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work Bath - Apollo Series (#764), 1979 sold for GBP 7,012.50 (€ 8,171.39) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Natkin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 58,000.00 (€ 37,255.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Natkin erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Bath - Apollo Series (#764), 1979 für GBP 7.012,50 (€ 8.171,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Natkin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 58.000,00 (€ 37.255,91).
