Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2005 Christies in London held the auction The Scottish Sale at The Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh, which included the work Among the blossom by Robert Payton Reid. The price achieved of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,308.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robert Payton Reid - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work All in a Garden Fair; and When the Thorn is White with Blossom, which sold at auction in October 2000 for GBP 10,575.00 (€ 18,075.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Scottish Sale at The Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh durch, in der auch die Arbeit Among the blossom von Robert Payton Reid zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.308,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Robert Payton Reid mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit All in a Garden Fair; and When the Thorn is White with Blossom beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für GBP 10.575,00 (€ 18.075,70) versteigert wurde.
