Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A thatched cottage in summer by Robert Payton Reid was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2007. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 504.00 (€ 737.92). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Payton Reid achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work All in a Garden Fair; and When the Thorn is White with Blossom in October 2000 with an auction result of GBP 10,575.00 (€ 18,075.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A thatched cottage in summer von Robert Payton Reid kam im April 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 504,00 (€ 737,92) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Payton Reid erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit All in a Garden Fair; and When the Thorn is White with Blossom im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.575,00 (€ 18.075,70).
