Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October this year Christies in London held the auction The Collection of Ann & Gordon Getty: Wheatland, which included the work Roses, Peaches & Cherries by Robert Spear Dunning. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 18,900.00 (€ 17,884.18). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Spear Dunning achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Fruit Picture in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 324,500.00 (€ 288,803.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion The Collection of Ann & Gordon Getty: Wheatland durch, in der auch die Arbeit Roses, Peaches & Cherries von Robert Spear Dunning zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 18.900,00 (€ 17.884,18) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Spear Dunning erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Fruit Picture im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 324.500,00 (€ 288.803,84).
