Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Birds by Roger Hilton was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2008. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,763.16) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roger Hilton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work December 1960 in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 212,500.00 (€ 241,219.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Birds von Roger Hilton kam im Oktober 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.763,16) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roger Hilton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit December 1960 im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 212.500,00 (€ 241.219,11).
