In April 2018 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Horse Around(Painted In 2011) by Ronald Ventura. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,203,600.00 (€ 126,999.04), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ronald Ventura achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Party Animal in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 19,450,000.00 (€ 2,056,015.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im April 2018 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Horse Around(Painted In 2011) von Ronald Ventura zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.203.600,00 (€ 126.999,04) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ronald Ventura erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Party Animal im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 19.450.000,00 (€ 2.056.015,25).
