Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Barragoo Country), 1992 by Rover Thomas was auctioned at Bonhams in Sydney in July 2020. The price achieved of AUD 24,400 (€ 20,724) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as AUD 20,000 - 30,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rover Thomas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in November 2007 with an auction result of AUD 360,000 (€ 216,863).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Barragoo Country), 1992 von Rover Thomas kam im Juli 2020 bei Bonhams in Sydney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 24.400 (€ 20.724) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 20.000 – 30.000 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rover Thomas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 360.000 (€ 216.863).
