Auction result well in line with expectations
The work System by Roy Johnston was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 5,026.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Roy Johnston have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2006 the work Intersect Ii was auctioned for GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,378.72).

Die Arbeit System von Roy Johnston wurde im Oktober 2007 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Irish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 5.026,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
