Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Standing Figure by Roy Turner Durrant was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,142.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Roy Turner Durrant have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2007 the work Figure was auctioned for GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,273.78).
