It achieved a price of HKD 1,000,000.00 (€ 116,826.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 43%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rudi Mantofani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bayangan Merah (Red Shadow), which sold at auction in October 2013 for HKD 3,640,000.00 (€ 345,417.10).

Die Arbeit Dalam Bayangan (In The Shadow) von Rudi Mantofani wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Asian Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.000.000,00 (€ 116.826,66) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 43%. Für andere Arbeiten von Rudi Mantofani mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bayangan Merah (Red Shadow) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für HKD 3.640.000,00 (€ 345.417,10) versteigert wurde.
