Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Rudolf Stingel was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 8,000,000.00 – 12,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 8,190,000.00 (€ 990,230.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Rudolf Stingel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (After Sam) in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 10,551,500.00 (€ 9,390,797.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Rudolf Stingel kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 8.000.000,00 – 12.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 8.190.000,00 (€ 990.230,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rudolf Stingel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (After Sam) im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.551.500,00 (€ 9.390.797,44).
