Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Work by Sadamasa Motonaga was sold in the Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. It changed hands for a price of HKD 2,320,000.00 (€ 268,149.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sadamasa Motonaga have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Work in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 10,300,000.00 (€ 1,215,768.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Work von Sadamasa Motonaga wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 2.320.000,00 (€ 268.149,08) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.500.000,00 – 2.500.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sadamasa Motonaga auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Work im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.300.000,00 (€ 1.215.768,70).
