Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2009 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work Pine, bamboo and plum by Sakai Hoitsu. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,750.00 (€ 5,980.86). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sakai Hoitsu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chofu Jewel River in March 2004 with an auction result of USD 113,525.00 (€ 92,356.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2009 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pine, bamboo and plum von Sakai Hoitsu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.750,00 (€ 5.980,86) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sakai Hoitsu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chofu Jewel River im März 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 113.525,00 (€ 92.356,82).
