In the Modern art and design auction, the work Scene from the Faroe Islands sold for DKK 40,000.00 (€ 5,365.81) - well above the estimate of DKK 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Samuel Joensen-Mikines have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape, Mykines; seen from west towards east, The Faroe Islands in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 40,000.00 (€ 34,958.92).
