Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Two Pink Chrysanthemums in a Clear Vase by Sanyu for HKD 21,850,000.00 (€ 2,474,969.08). This price was achieved in the auction 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 30,000,000.00 – 50,000,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sanyu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Five Nudes in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 303,985,000.00 (€ 35,256,632.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Two Pink Chrysanthemums in a Clear Vase von Sanyu für HKD 21.850.000,00 (€ 2.474.969,08) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000.000,00 – 50.000.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sanyu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Five Nudes im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 303.985.000,00 (€ 35.256.632,18).
