Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sunset, From Moscow Series by Sergei Borisov was sold in the Changing Focus - A Collection of Russian and Eastern European Contemporary Photography auction at Sothebys in London in June 2013. The price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,042.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sergei Borisov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Group Of Four Black And White Photographs Including The Kiss; The Touch And The Misses Of Immature Thought in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,207.02).
