Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mais attend donc grosse brute y aura reprise...; and four other erotic drawings by Sergei Eisenstein was sold in the Important Russian Art auction at Christies in London in November 2017. It changed hands for a price of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,932.55) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sergei Eisenstein have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fifteen Erotic Drawings in November 2015 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 85,461.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mais attend donc grosse brute y aura reprise...; and four other erotic drawings von Sergei Eisenstein wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Important Russian Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.932,55) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sergei Eisenstein auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fifteen Erotic Drawings im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 85.461,09).
