Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Chinese Silk Merchants by Sha Qi. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 14,803.96). Admittedly, works by Sha Qi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Horses In The Forest in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,480,000.00 (€ 137,649.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chinese Silk Merchants von Sha Qi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 14.803,96) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sha Qi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Horses In The Forest im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.480.000,00 (€ 137.649,60).
