This artwork by Sita Ram achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in March 2007. In the Arts de l'Orient et des Indes du XIème au XXIème siècle Provenant d'une collection française auction, the work Le jardin de Jaffeir Khan à Patna sold for EUR 20,400.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sita Ram; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Les bords du Gange sold at auction in March 2007 with the realized price of EUR 27,600.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Sita Ram erzielte im März 2007 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Arts de l'Orient et des Indes du XIème au XXIème siècle Provenant d'une collection française wurde die Arbeit Le jardin de Jaffeir Khan à Patna für EUR 20.400,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Sita Ram; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Les bords du Gange im März 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 27.600,00.
