In May 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work 'Diorama Map, New York', 2006 by Sohei Nishino. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,842.16), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sohei Nishino - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Diorama Map Istanbul, which sold at auction in September 2020 for GBP 68,750.00 (€ 75,808.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Diorama Map, New York', 2006 von Sohei Nishino zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.842,16) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Sohei Nishino mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Diorama Map Istanbul beobachtet, die im September 2020 für GBP 68.750,00 (€ 75.808,05) versteigert wurde.
