The work Sans titre by Stephan Balkenhol was sold in the Post War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Paris in December this year. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 23,040.00 54% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Stephan Balkenhol have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mann und Frau in June 2017 with an auction result of EUR 175,000.00.

Die Arbeit Sans titre von Stephan Balkenhol wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 23.040,00 und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Stephan Balkenhol auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mann und Frau im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 175.000,00.
