This artwork by Sunil Gawde achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2010. In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction, the work Untitled (Butterfly) sold for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,801.75) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sunil Gawde; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Still Alive - I sold at auction in November 2018 with the realized price of INR 2,125,000.00 (€ 26,836.97).

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Sunil Gawde; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Still Alive - I im November 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von INR 2.125.000,00 (€ 26.836,97).
