Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Flower Matango (d) by Takashi Murakami for HKD 15,640,000.00 (€ 1,807,694.66). This price was achieved in the auction Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 16,000,000.00 – 24,000,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Takashi Murakami have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work My Lonesome Cowboy in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 15,161,000.00 (€ 9,743,573.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Flower Matango (d) von Takashi Murakami für HKD 15.640.000,00 (€ 1.807.694,66) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 16.000.000,00 – 24.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Takashi Murakami auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit My Lonesome Cowboy im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.161.000,00 (€ 9.743.573,26).
