This artwork by Takashi Murakami achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in November this year. In the New Now & Design auction, the work Jellyfish Eyes × e-ma Flower Stand Happy Rainbow sold for HKD 495,300.00 (€ 58,121.01) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Takashi Murakami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Lonesome Cowboy in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 15,161,000.00 (€ 9,743,573.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Takashi Murakami erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now & Design wurde die Arbeit Jellyfish Eyes × e-ma Flower Stand Happy Rainbow für HKD 495.300,00 (€ 58.121,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 250.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Takashi Murakami erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Lonesome Cowboy im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.161.000,00 (€ 9.743.573,26).
