In November 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Asia: Hong Kong Edition, which included the work Kaikai with Moss; & Kiki with Moss by Takashi Murakami. The auction ended at the price of HKD 20,000.00 (€ 2,257.35), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Takashi Murakami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Lonesome Cowboy in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 15,161,000.00 (€ 9,743,573.26).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Hong Kong Edition durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kaikai with Moss; & Kiki with Moss von Takashi Murakami zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 20.000,00 (€ 2.257,35) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Takashi Murakami erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Lonesome Cowboy im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.161.000,00 (€ 9.743.573,26).
