Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chinese Fairytale by Tang Zhigang was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. It changed hands for a price of HKD 740,000.00 (€ 66,196.44) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 500,000.00 – 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tang Zhigang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Children In Meeting (3 Long Tables) in October 2008 with an auction result of EUR 6,020,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Chinese Fairytale von Tang Zhigang wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 740.000,00 (€ 66.196,44) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 500.000,00 – 800.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tang Zhigang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Children In Meeting (3 Long Tables) im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.020.000,00.
