Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Still Life With Roses And Marguerites In A Vase by Theo Swagemakers. The price achieved of NLG 1,762.50 (€ 847.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Theo Swagemakers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A still life with fruits, a basket and a bowl, which sold at auction in January 2001 for NLG 4,465.00 (€ 1,953.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Roses And Marguerites In A Vase von Theo Swagemakers zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 1.762,50 (€ 847,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Theo Swagemakers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A still life with fruits, a basket and a bowl beobachtet, die im Januar 2001 für NLG 4.465,00 (€ 1.953,80) versteigert wurde.
