Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work a. Parted; b. Clown of Roof by Tony Wong for HKD 7,560.00 (€ 856.33). This price was achieved in the auction Modern Art Online: From Le Pho to Sanyu at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tony Wong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chameleon in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 463,500.00 (€ 40,518.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit a. Parted; b. Clown of Roof von Tony Wong für HKD 7.560,00 (€ 856,33) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern Art Online: From Le Pho to Sanyu bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tony Wong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chameleon im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 463.500,00 (€ 40.518,38).
